Partnering Opportunities

Partnership Philosophy:

A central tenet for all of the Contra Costa Transportation Authority’s (CCTA) work is collaboration, and the GoMentum Station program is no different. We are committed to working closely with public and private sector partners to ensure that the outcome of your work will be greater than the sum of its parts. With access to the largest secure test facility in the world at the Concord Naval Weapons station in Concord, California, partners will have a unique opportunity to customize their research, whether it be infrastructure, connected vehicles, autonomous vehicles, or other innovative applications.   With the support of local jurisdictions and transit agencies, our affiliated pilot programs offer partners an on-the-ground opportunity to test new transportation technologies designed to increase safety and reliability across the transportation system.

An effective and innovative partnership strategy is critical to the program’s success. CCTA’s partnership model seeks to be:

  • Multi-modal: comprehensive/inclusive of all modes of surface transportation
  • Inclusive of both private and public sector initiatives and investments to drive economic growth and innovation
  • Focused on technological solutions by engaging with several auto manufacturers, technology companies and other top tier suppliers

By building America’s largest and most comprehensive CV/AV test bed in Contra Costa County and affiliated multi-modal, real-world pilot deployment projects, the Contra Costa Transportation Authority will incubate a new generation of technology that has the potential to revolutionize transportation infrastructure.

Policy of Inclusion:

The GoMentum Station program is actively engaging and collaborating with current and new, United States Department of Transportation Connected Vehicle pilot programs by sharing knowledge and best practices. This open model will benefit all program participants and exemplifies the Contra Costa Transportation Authority’s commitment to collaborative partnership.
